Because social contacts are not possible in Corona times, digital media are used more and more. Many companies make their apps and programs available free of charge for a few weeks at this time and more people work in the home office and spend a lot of time at home.

Companies such as Scoyo offer 14 days of free learning. Simpleclub offers a free package that teachers and headmasters can order. This runs until 20 April and the subscription expires automatically.

The App Dark Noise offers soothing sounds like a campfire or rain. The purpose of this is to be able to escape the noise of the big city, because you are currently in your apartment more than usual. The users can concentrate, relax or fall asleep better due to the neutralizing sounds.

To avoid negative thoughts during the pandemic, meditation is a good way to ensure mental health. “Headspace” is supposed to calm the mind by means of meditation. There are different topics like stress, sleep and concentration disorders or even anxiety disorders. According to Headspace, meditation reduces everyday stress and also the feeling of stress. In addition, the ability to concentrate and attention improves. The app can be downloaded for free, but some features are subject to a fee.
Other apps for passing the time are for example: ARD Quiz or Quizduell. Both are about testing knowledge. Or Stadt Land Fluss, which works just like in the old days with an app instead of a pen and paper.
