Most companies have distributed teams in these times, so it is possible to work on all projects and find qualified employees more easily, because you can look for location independently. But this is also why it is more difficult for remote working teams to implement agile procedures.

Structure
A good software architecture is absolutely necessary, because this allows all teams to work autonomously. Code reviews also play an important role, because the team may be online at different times. In this case, it is possible that someone else from the agile team can step in and solve the problem.

Building relationships
A personal connection within the team creates trust and increases morale. Therefore it is important to get to know all the people in the team, the closer the contacts become, the better the cooperation can be. For example, each member of the team could post a small introduction on one page with professional and private details. However, nothing beats a personal meeting, so the team can benefit from having met at least once in the office.

Define projects in advance as detailed as possible
Since remote work eliminates the need for short-term meetings, for example while drinking coffee, it is especially important to have clearly defined projects and tasks so that everyone knows what to do.

Working Agreements
Rules for dealing with each other at meetings help not only offline but also when working remotely. Therefore, before the meetings, some rules should be clarified that apply during the meeting. Such rules could be, for example, that only the person who is currently talking has the microphone on, or how to “interrupt” someone, whether by hand signals or a chat message or similar.

Establish and maintain work-life balance
Working from the home office has many advantages, such as no commute to work or the easy reconciliation of work and private life. But for some people, home office can mean working more than usual, so an awareness of the work-life balance should be created in the team. To this end, clear working hours can be set and it can be made clear that there is also a closing time in the home office. This also means that no answer is expected when colleagues are not online at the moment.
