PERFORMANCE MARKETING
What is Performance Marketing?
Performance marketing is a strategy in which the success of marketing measures is measured and these can then be optimized if necessary. Measurability and optimization are the most important aspects of performance marketing. Especially for new customer acquisition and customer retention this strategy is important.
The goal is to create an efficient marketing measure and make it measurable.
Characteristics of performance marketing:
- Measurability
In order for the data to be measured, tracking tools such as Google Analytics are needed. The KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) must be quantitatively measurable so that user behavior can be analyzed and optimizations can be made. KPIs can be, for example, click numbers, traffic, conversions or the click-through rate (CTR). - Means of communication
The means of communication are measured and optimized independently so that the best results can be achieved. This can be, for example, email marketing, display marketing or much more.
Advantages
- Optimizations can be derived from measurable results
- Advertisements can be flexibly adapted
- Optimizations are adapted to the target
Disadvantages
- Data must be updated regularly
- Data must be evaluated
- Ads need to be revised regularly
