AGILE METHODOLOGY — definition and steps

Agile Methodology is a practice that promotes continuous iteration of development and testing. It is a guidance in how to choose methods and procedures that will work best for your team.
The agile software development methodology is an effective process to transform a vision into a software solution. The focus is to support the team in thinking and acting to achieve agility.
Agility is the ability to continuously adapt and make changes. Agility provides values and principles that allow the team to decide what to do.
Steps
Agile methods are manifold. They are a set of norms that the team follows. The different teams may also have different methods, the agile ones are those that correspond to the core value and principles of agile development.
For example, there are the following methods:
- Scrum
This is a framework in which complex tasks can be tackled in order to develop the most productive and creative products possible, which meet the highest possible value. - Kanban
Kanban focuses on development in a long cycle. The difference to Scrum is that a Kanban project does not have a specific start and end point because there are no iterations. - FDD (Feature Driven Development)
This involves the structure and design of the features. The team works in short and specific phases and focuses on one element.
